The Internet of Things refers to the thousands of physical devices connecting to the internet and sharing information. Devices are linked by wireless networks and processors that become smaller each day and cheaper. This means that virtually any computer can be transformed and made smarter by connecting to the internet.

A system that can differ from anything like a light bulb or your washing machine can be transformed to an Internet of Things device, whether it is an electric device. The Internet of Things is used to build a computer that is “stumb” or otherwise “smart” or to give it the ability to move information and give it employment or take action.
